Hot Lines: Today's best MLB bet

Boston Red Sox at Los Angeles Angels (+100, 8)

Starting the playoffs on the right foot is a task the Los Angeles Angels have avoided in the last decade. The Halos are 0-4 in Game 1 of an ALDS going back to 2002, when they overcame an opening loss to roll all the way to a World Series title. They’ve been outscored 29-11 in Game 1s over this span.

In 2002, Los Angeles fell 8-5 to Roger Clemens and the New York Yankees in Game 1 of the ALDS. After missing the playoffs in 2003, the Angels dropped the 2004 postseason opener, 9-3, to Curt Schilling and the Boston Red Sox and were eventually swept in three games. The following year, they were stumped 4-2 by Mike Mussina and the Yankees at home in Game 1 of the ALDS.

The last two seasons, Los Angeles has lost both opening games of the Divisional Series to the Red Sox. And both times, Thursday’s starter John Lackey has been on the mound. In 2007, Lackey went six inning and gave up four runs – getting outpitched by Boston’s Josh Beckett, who put up a complete-game shutout.

Last year, Lackey pitched just under seven innings, giving up two earned runs and one home run. But again he was outdone by the Red Sox’s starter, Jon Lester, who went seven shutout innings and gave Boston its first win of a four-game series victory.

Lackey and Lester face off again in Anaheim Thursday night. And if history has anything to say about it, Boston should be up 1-0 heading into Friday’s Game 2.

Pick: Boston -110

You dont understand this man knows what he is doing.
all games on wednesday were blowouts.

Too small of a sample size to know if he's just on a hot streak or he actually knows whats going on. Let's face it, it could be someone just throwing darts at the newspaper.

I'll be keeping a keen eye on these picks though.

I gotta admit Thursday's card looks a little shaky from the Panamanian. Our Randizzle is giving away this weeks college picks no charge.

He is emailing them tonite to whoever asks. I've seen this marketing before when touts get on a cold streak they do this, actually they often do well then because you can't keep picking losers forever, things tend to even out.

The most fascinating tout is Lang, how he can consistently keep picking losers is just truly amazing.

Tell that to Brandon Lang! :lolBIG:

This is just a marketing gimmick to harvest email addresses - sales leads. No thanks. I get enough spam as it is. If you get them, post them! <><>

BINGO!

I went 4-0 last 2 days fading his college football side/total yesterdayand also faded his MLB side/total in the late game tonight.

I plan on following the trend. I only jumped on the bandwagon a couple of days ago. Check his dedicated thread. It's an "eye opener!" (<)<
